Welcome to Little House Buns Boarding! We understand that it can be difficult to find a safe and comfortable place for your furry friend while you are away. Our rabbit boarding service is perfect for pet owners who want to make sure their rabbits are comfortable and happy while they are out of town. We provide a clean, safe, and cozy environment for your rabbits to stay in, complete with fresh food and water, enrichment, and plenty of love and attention. Our boarding service is specifically designed for rabbits of all ages, and we are committed to providing them with the highest level of care. Our staff is trained in rabbit care and behavior, and we ensure that your rabbit receives plenty of love, attention, and exercise during their stay with us. Our at home boarding facility is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood in Alexandria, VA, with a spacious indoor area (playpen) for your rabbit to relax. We also have a large, free roaming area for supervised playtime and exercise. We understand that every rabbit is unique, and we are happy to accommodate any special needs or requests that your rabbit may have. Whether your rabbit needs a particular diet, medication, or extra snuggles, we are happy to provide them with the individualized care they need. In addition to our boarding service. We also offer basic grooming services for your rabbit. We can brush their fur, clip their nails, and cut their fur to ensure they are looking and feeling their best. If you need help transporting your rabbits to and from our boarding facility, we're here to help. We offer safe and reliable transportation services to make sure your pets get where they need to go. Our team will make sure your rabbits are comfortable and secure during their journey. We offer everything you would need for your rabbit. But you are welcome to bring items from home to make your rabbit more comfortable. It is recommended to bring something from home so they have a familiar scent. The Rabbit Room

Our Free Roaming Area

Free roaming is optional but included. Each rabbit gets a minimum of 30 mins to one hour of free roaming time daily in our bunny proof area. If it's not a busy day your rabbit(s) is welcome to have more than an hour of free roaming time. All free roaming is always supervised.

How does the free roaming area work?:

Each family of rabbit(s) will have their own free roaming time. Because rabbits are territorial by nature we do not let all the rabbits out at once so no playdates. Only your single or your bonded rabbits will be let out at their turn.

Health and Hygiene:

RHDV2 has not come to Virginia yet but will be coming soon. We are taking the precautions by disinfecting and cleaning the free roam area in between each use. Optional but recommended that your rabbit(s) are vaccinated with RHDV2 at least 2 weeks prior before boarding with us for their safety.

Materials and toys used:

All items used in the free roaming area is easy to clean. What may look like a large rug is actually a Non - Toxic foam play mat. The hidey house is made of plastic. All toys and chews will be brought out from their playpen as well as their small rug. Don't worry all plants pictured are all artificial.

Services

Playpen: $55

We provide great large playpens which are 5.3ft x 5.3ft for your rabbit(s) to stay in! (Optional but included) each rabbit also gets 30 mins - 1 hour of free roaming time. If it's not a busy day your rabbit(s) is welcome to have more than an hour of free roaming time. But will never be forced if your rabbit(s) chooses not to. The free roaming space is cleaned after each use. Each playpen includes toys, enrichment, a cozy space, cardboard hidey house, fresh veggies, pellets, treats, forages, water, litterbox, and unlimited hay (Timothy and Orchard) and we also have Alfalfa hay for young rabbits too. We also have covers if you think your rabbit can jump over 39”. Please fill out the boarding form or, call, or email to schedule an appointment before booking. (Appointments required) *Note $55 is the price per day for one playpen for one rabbit only.

Additional rabbits to the playpen per day is an additional $20. The $20 is for the second bonded rabbit sharing the same playpen. Any additional rabbits after two rabbits is a $15 charge per bonded rabbit sharing the same playpen. Rabbits can only be housed in the same playpen only if they are bonded. Non bonded rabbits will need a separate Playpen.

All rabbits staying in the same playpen must be BONDED.

Rabbit Transportation: Starting at $35.00

If you need help transporting your rabbits to and from our boarding facility, we're here to help. We offer safe and reliable transportation services to make sure your pets get where they need to go. Our team will make sure your rabbits are comfortable and secure during their journey. For pick ups please have your rabbit(s) ready in a pet carrier and all the items you would like to have for your rabbit(s). We can accommodate transportation times. Drop offs will typically be after hours. Please call or email to schedule an appointment. (Appointments required) All trips are calculated by roundtrips.

Medicinal Administration: $10

Does your rabbit need oral medicinal administration during our stay? Let us know and we can do it. We also have 1 ml sterile syringes. As well as 60 ml Syringes for critical care.

Rabbit Nail Trims: $20

We can do nail trimmings price is for one rabbit. Please keep in mind nail trims can take up to 15-30 mins per rabbit. Please call to schedule an appointment. (Appointments required)

Rabbit grooming (brushing/ Deshedding): $25

We can brush your rabbit. Brush time for deshedding is typically 25- 50 mins per rabbit. Please call to schedule an appointment. (Appointments required)

Haircuts: $50 - $75

We can cut rabbit hair. Please keep in mind haircuts can take up to 1-5hrs+ depending on your rabbits fur and behavior. (Appointments required)

Please read before booking with us

Emergency & Financial Responsibility: In the case of an emergency during boarding, we will reach out to you first to share observations/ concerns and to attempt to obtain permission prior to making any trips to a vet. If we are unable to reach you timely and feel emergency care is necessary, we will proceed with our best judgment. Please be aware that all financial responsibility for any vet visits and treatments will be the responsibility of the pets owner. If nearby and available at the time of stay we can go to your preferred vet. If your preferred vet is not available our preferred vet and emergency vets are: Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services, Pender Veterinary centre - Fairfax, and 24hr emergency hospital: Falls Road Animal Hospital, Emergency Animal Hospital of Ellicott City, & Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital.

Refunds and rescheduling: After reservations are confirmed for rabbit boarding, there will be no refunds for cancellation. Rescheduling is not guaranteed but base on vacancy at the time. Because we are a small rabbit boarding service, space is limited and bookings are made in advance. For rabbit grooming appointments you may cancel or reschedule. If you choose to cancel your appointment please let us know at least two days prior to your appointment. After careful consideration, we have established a no-refund policy for cancellations of our rabbit boarding service. This policy is in place for several reasons:

Limited Availability: We have limited spots available for our rabbit boarding service, and once a booking is confirmed, we reserve that spot exclusively for your pet. Cancellations often result in a lost opportunity to serve other clients.
Planning and Preparation: We invest time and effort in preparing for your rabbit's stay, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Unfortunately, cancellations disrupt our planning and can lead to unnecessary expenses.

Bookings & Appointments: For all Bookings and Appointments you have the choice of paying 100% total on the day we schedule your booking/ appointment. Or pay 50% first during your scheduling and 50% during their check in.

Late pickups: If you do not pick up your pet after one day, you will be charged $55 PER DAY over their stay that's left in our care.

Abandonment: If for any reason the owner of the pet does not show up, or the emergency contact after a concerning amount of days with no whatsoever communication. With the last resort we will have to surrender your pet to Animal Welfare League of Arlington animal shelter or a shelter nearby.
